How Confidence Levels Work
ProductMatch assigns a confidence score (0-100) to each returned match. This score indicates how likely the cleaned description and matched product are to be the same or correct product.
High Confidence (80-100)
Strong match with clear indicators. Usually safe to approve automatically.
Medium Confidence (50-79)
Good match but may need review. Check the cleaned description and GTIN before approving.
Low Confidence (0-49)
Uncertain match. Review carefully or create a new product record if needed.
GTIN Codes Included
When available, ProductMatch automatically includes GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) codes in the results, helping you maintain GS1-compliant product data.
